It smells fantastic - identical to a grape Jolly Rancher, the purple one, no notes. That’s the trap. Biting into it is a completely different event.
The flavour goes straight to artificial in the worst sense, the register where something stops tasting like food and starts tasting like cleaning fluid. Mix that with the cocoa cracker and there’s a bitterness underneath that never resolves.
I’ve learned this the hard way enough times now: if an Oreo smells strongly of candy before you bite it, I’m not going to like it.
